Company and Commercial

Who am I?

Consultant in the Company & Commercial department.

What I do and who my clients are

I work mainly on corporate transactions, commercial agreements and employment law.

I am an experienced corporate and commercial solicitor. I have led numerous substantial (and often complex) corporate transactions – recently a £38 million acquisition of a motor dealership group of companies. I also deal with a wide variety of commercial arrangements and agreements and provide practical advice on business issues. Employment law has been a continuing interest – I offer a full range of services to commercial clients. My clients are mainly substantial private companies but also public companies and partnerships.

My achievements and other appointments

I graduated in history from Jesus College Cambridge and initially worked for what is now Clifford Chance. I became an equity partner in the firm in 1983, was the Senior Partner for a number of years before becoming an active consultant.

Hobbies and other interests

I am a committed cyclist and walker and participate in a number of sports including tennis, golf and sailing. I enjoy music – particularly opera, and have a very keen interest in literature (particularly 19th century English literature) and history.
