I am an LLP Member and Head of our Private Client department. This includes Wills, Probate & Trusts. I am based at our Horsham office.
I was admitted as a solicitor in 1996 having prior to this gained many years’ experience as a fully qualified legal executive. I joined Coole & Haddock in 1997 becoming an equity partner in 2002.
I’ve been a proud member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) Sussex branch and am one of only 68 appointees to the Panel of Deputies maintained by the Court of Protection and Office of the Public Guardian.
I am a general private client lawyer with a considerable amount of experience on a wide range of private client issues including Will writing, probate law and practice, tax planning, trust and estate administration, Power of Attorney and Deputyship work.
I have successfully negotiated with HMRC on many claims for agricultural property relief and a complex claim of proprietary estoppel thus reducing substantially the inheritance tax liability of estates.
I have also been appointed to the Panel of Deputies maintained by the Court of Protection and Office of the Public Guardian and has been a member since the panel’s inception.
My interests include gardening, music, films and entertaining
