I am an Associate Solicitor in the Family department. I joined the firm in October 2011 as a trainee solicitor and remained on qualification. During my training, I gained experience of company and commercial work, residential property and litigation but my preferred area of law is Family and Child Care.
I conduct a wide range of family work including divorce, financial settlements and private Children Act matters. I also represent parents in Care Proceedings.
We handle both private and legal aid matters so have a broad client base. However we treat everyone with the same respect and sensitivity.
I studied at both the University of East Anglia and the Open University, achieving a First-class honours degree in Law. I then went on to study the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in London, achieving a distinction. Prior to joining the firm I spent ten years in the public sector, most recently prosecuting illegal immigration advisers with the Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner and prior to that, regulating Legal Aid solicitors with the Legal Services Commission.
Outside of work I enjoy seeing friends and family and reading. I am also a regular runner and completed the Brighton Half Marathon in February 2012 to raise funds for the Sussex Beacon. I am currently saying I don’t intend to run any more half-marathons or marathons, but I have been known to say that before!
